    This 12 week series of classes cover nutrition and exercises needed in order to stay healthy and low-risk during pregnancy; mechanics of labor and birth; physical, mental and emotional relaxation; benefits and risks of medication and interventions; breastfeeding; postpartum care, and much more. This series also teaches and encourages parents to be advocates for themselves and their children, to be wise consumers, and to make educated, researched decisions - tools that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Classes cost $300, but mentioning Pagan Parenting will give you a $50 discount.

    Homebirth Midwifery care includes complete prenatal care, labwork, nutritional counseling, homebirth care, postpartum care, newborn exams, and recomendation and assistance in using alternative therapies such as Reiki, massage, yoga, AquaNatal, nutrition, meditation, hydrotherapy, exercise, herbs and homeopathy to acheive and maintain a health pregnancy. My practice is based on the knowledge that birth is a sacred and natural process. Women already have the wisdom within them to give birth. Women can become empowered through birth. It is my belief that women give birth with their hearts and bodies NOT with their head. I strongly encourage and assist women to educate themselves about birth options and make choices based on their knowledge and intuition. Rates: I work on a sliding scale and strive to meet the needs of my community. Rates vary between $1500. - $2800. There are some low income services available. Some insurance companies will reimburse the cost of homebirth services.

    I sell and make pregnant belly casts. They are wonderful at a Blessingway. The kit comes with everything one needs to make one cast. Including fully illustrated instructions. The bellycast is a wonderful way to kepp a lasting memory of the baby within. I charge $25.00 for the kit and I charge $10.00 extra if you hire me to make the cast. Painting fees are extra and depend on how extensive the work is.

Baby wearing has been around for centuries, and is completely natural! I'm sure you are used to seeing parents carrying their babes around in those front carriers with their little legs dangling... (I won't mention brand names, but you know what I mean) . These are not the best solution!! When babies are born--up to being a toddler, their pelvises are still soft. Spreading their legs causes pressure on the spine. And the parents who where them experience less back pain because the are distributing baby's weight evenly. Pouches start at 40$, Ring Slings start at 60$, Mei tai's start at 45$, Wraps start at 40$, All prices vary depending on fabric chosen or bought.     A Baby Blessing/Naming Ceremony is an occasion for great celebration, gratitude and joy. It is an opportunity to give thanks for the miracle of new life, to support the mother and father in stepping into parenthood consciously, with love and clarity. Baby Blessings are becoming more and more popular among couples from different faiths or those with no ties to a church. This is an alternative to a traditional baptism or christening, and allows the parents to blend in elements from their faiths or from other faiths that speak to them. A Naming Ceremony may also be done at the same time as the Baby Blessing or can be done separately at a later time. In 1999 I began working with a chiropractor who helped me to identify what I unconsciously did during sessions with clients--intuitive energy work.
